New York, NY February 28, 2006 – At the FiFi Finalist’s Breakfast, this morning, The Fragrance Foundation announced the top five finalists in each of 20 award categories including the 2006 Fragrance of the Year, which will be presented at the 34th Annual FiFi Awards dinner on Monday April 3rd at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.
Also, for the first time ever, four award winners were announced at the breakfast including Editorial Excellence in Fragrance Coverage for Men’s Scent Feature (new category this year), Editorial Excellence in Fragrance Coverage for Women’s Scent Feature and Scent Bite and Technological Breakthrough of the Year. These winners will be introduced and recognized for their achievements during the 34th Annual FiFi® Awards dinner.
This morning’s breakfast was held at the Mandarin Oriental’s Grand Ballroom at Columbus Circle, and hosted by Tom Wopat, currently starring in Broadway’s Glengarry Glen Ross.
