Earlier on in the year I discovered an Internet radio show called 'In The Country' hosted by blogtalkradio. Its presented by Dave Woods and goes out live from Ontario with recorded podcasts available. If you get Country Music News in Canada you will have seen the column and adverts for it. Recent ones include Terri Clark, Michelle Wright, Mark Chesnutt as well as with many Inde artists.

I'm not sure if the name Shari Lynn has beem mentioned on these boards before? She was a new discovery to me in May.

Without knowing beforehand Shari's spoken voice certainly has similarities to Shania Twain and she went on to talk about her involvement with a Shania Tribute Show which proved to be a catalyst for her as a career in music.
She explains, “I actually got my start doing Shania Twain, I always wanted to get into music and found the opportunity when people thought even though my hair was blonde said that you kinda look like Shania Twain, I call it Shania fever back then as people would just freak out over her. My hairdresser was a friend and she dyed my hair dark cos’ we were curious and it was kinda crazy. I got pegged for Shania a lot and actually several times got mistaken for her. It was an agency who heard I created a stir at a bar where they had a Shania tribute playing, people actually thought I was Shania Twain coming in to see her show so they asked me if I’d like to come and work for them”

Shari has her own music out now. She has performed for Shania's family and told me on myspace she is friends with Shania's sister.
